About the Conference
The 3rd Specialized Scientific Conference of Physics is a biennial event that aims to promote and develop scientific research in physics science and related sciences. The conference is organized by the Department of Physics, College of Science, University of Baghdad, which is the oldest and largest university in Iraq and the second largest in the Middle East.
The conference will be held on December 6-7, 2024 at the College of Science, University of Baghdad. The conference seeks to advance the scientific and academic process at the University of Baghdad by encouraging innovative and substantive research.
The conference will cover various topics related to physics, such as:
- Advanced materials applications
- Environmental applications of physics
- Medical and biological applications of physics
- Molecules technological and Advanced laser
- Plasma applications
- Nuclear theory and its applications
- Artificial intelligence and Cyber security
The conference will feature keynote speeches, invited talks, oral presentations, poster sessions, and workshops. The conference will also provide opportunities for networking, collaboration, and exchange of ideas among the participants.
The conference welcomes submissions of original and unpublished research papers that address any of the conference topics. The conference also accepts abstracts for oral or poster presentations. The submission deadline is November 10, 2023. The accepted papers and abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and the conference website.
The conference is supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Iraqi Physical Society, and the International Centre for Theoretical Physics.
The conference aims to promote the advancement of physics in Iraq and the region, and to foster the scientific culture among the society. The conference also hopes to inspire the next generation of physicists and to contribute to the global scientific community.
